A new web site

Today I have had an insight into how my husband spends many of his days. Having decided a while ago that it would be better to have a WordPress.org blog rather than WordPress.com today it is finally done. It has involved buying a domain name, getting a web hosting service from my son and endless patient support from my husband. I have even written (under dictation) a very short line of html code. A thing I have not done for many many years.

The process has been extraordinarily addictive. It started as a job to do before going for a run mid-morning. Here I am now at 7pm having done nothing but this all day. I have certainly ticked the box for learning new skills.

Planned a route to take me through the most beautiful local woods and meadows with newborn lambs.

A relaxed day

A good start set me up well for the rest of the day. I had decided that I should aim to start running soon after 9 am which means having breakfast before 8 am. I managed that today and was rewarded with a beautiful crisp sunny morning.

No dig Potatoes

Getting stuck in to a physically challenging gardening job is one of the best ways I know of picking myself up when I have been letting woes of the world get to me. I know that the only thing I can do to be useful is stay at home and keep myself well but it is easy to overwhelmed with sadness about the plight of others. To deal with my distress today I have converted a triangle of rough weedy ground into a potato bed, a five stage process.
