I am so pleased that my school friend Jan has received a photo of her mum sent by the staff of the Quaker care home she lives in. The cards and chocolate are things that Jan has sent to her mum. The picture goes just a little way towards relieving the worry caused by not being able to visit.
It is heartening to hear a good care home story in spite of the great difficulties they are working under. We still need much more to show that care work is valued and will be better recognised and rewarded in the future.
